‘Tour de Bikes!’…this last Saturday was the 11th year for the ‘Tour de Whatcom’bike tour with the proceeds going to charity. The Tour de Whatcom is a beautiful bike tour hitting lots of scenic highlights in our area with at least 500 riders this year. It was my third year as a volunteer parking bikes when they come off the tour and head for some food and drink at Boundary Bay. It’s always a fun day! Thanks for ridin’ by today! bb >*<
‘after the ‘Enduro of Subdued Excitement race‘….the WMBC mountain bike race on the Chuckanaut Mountain bike trails. It started and ended at Larrabee State Park this last Saturday and it was a great day for everyone. Check it out next year!
‘below double black diamond canopy’...last Saturday I was trail-day organizer with WMBC& volunteers..we cut the new trail below ‘Double Black Diamond’ on a beautiful day & it’s an awesome trail! When I was hiking up to the top of it to check it all out..I looked up to see these two views. Thanks for ridin’ on in today..and happy mountain biking too! bb >*<
‘ella-bike-galbraith ridge’…this pic was taken of my dear pet-friend ella by my dear friend Ryan of his companion dog & his mountain bike November 2014. It was my first time to get to go mountain biking…and I totally fell in love with it that day..too much fun!..even for the beginner me. Happy biking always!! bb >*<
‘NUKEPROOF workin’..up Galbraith Mt. today skimmin’ & throwin’ dirt on ‘Evolution Trail’ making it better for all mtb riders. A great work crew & lots of fun! Then some riding to test the trail. Happy biking! bb >*<
“In 2015, this race has been re-named from Chiller Cross to honor the memory of Bandit, Ryan’s Australian Shepherd who assisted in the build out of every Cascade Cross course from October 2006 to January 2014. Rest in peace, and mud, Bandit!”
“This will be our fifth time out in January, and we’re still the only cyclocross series in the PNW to cross into the new year. It is one of our most popular races, which leads us to believe it is obviously a good time to race ‘cross’! We will be racing on the same weekend as Cyclocross Worlds this year, so you might also call this Bellingham Bandit Worlds!”
Have fun all you cyclocross racers and fans out there! Thanks for ridin’ by to check this out & happy biking always… in all weather. bb >*<
‘neon white with ribbon‘…parked outside of ‘Brandywine Kitchen’on Commercial Street as sun was setting a few days ago. I thought the red & white ribbon tied w/ a bow on the handle bars was a nice touch & the sun turned the white into neon! Thanks for ridin’ on by & happy biking! bb >*<‘a spoke view’
SosinT is a community-led initiative which is working towards the creation of an Energy Descent Action Plan for the town. The thinking behind TTW is simply that a town using much less energy and resources than we presently consume could, if properly planned for and designed, be more resilient, more abundant and more pleasurable than the present.
